The jacket itself was just as described. Very nice color, lined, the distressing looks more like an applied color/distress, but not noticeable unless studying it closely. The leather is on the thin side so great for cutting wind but not meant as a super warm coat. Excellent price for the product. Definitely real leather. Had that wonderful leather smell when the zippered protective bag was opened that it came in. This was a gift and my husband was very pleased. He normally orders a L which is what I ordered, and it fits well. I would say he is average build, has a very slight stomach. As others have said, I do agree this jacket may be on the slimmer side around the stomach area
